Have you ever wondered why perfectly intelligent otherwise reasonable people get caught up in Glenn’s psychotic bullshit? Well, here’s a great article that explains why. Teabaggers beware: this article was written by the educated elite, so you know you can’t trust a word it says.

Will you promise that you will never beat your kids?
While I am sure you would quickly answer yes, to such a question if posed I would also expect you to be quite offended. By even asking such a question, by even asking you to make such a promise, there is an implication that indeed you could be susceptible to beating your kids. The very question, the very request to make such a promise is offensive on its face.
I was similarly offended when I went on Glenn Beck’s web site today and found the following.
http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/39452/
Below is the Pledge of Nonviolence that Martin Luther King, Jr. asked those who believed in his message to abide by as well as his core principles of nonviolence.
In the coming days I am going to ask you to make the same commitment to nonviolence and give you the opportunity to make that pledge public by having you ‘sign’ these documents.

I was not offended because I believe that the the tea partiers should turn violent. That is exactly what Obama is waiting for in order to crack down and perhaps call for martial law. But the very act of pledging non-violence plays into the the mainstream media’s perception of the tea partiers as being potentially violent. I am offended at the very request! Glenn, intentionally or unintentionally is playing into the anti tea partiers hands.
I haven’t really watched Glenn Beck since the whole Texas thing. But now he has really shown that while he might have had an hand at starting the tea parties, he has become a liability, a threat to them. I will not participate in his “pledge to not beat my kids” campaign. Not because I am planning to beat my kids anytime soon, but because I find the whole effort as insulting and playing into the very hands of our enemy, reinforcing the perception they want people to have of the tea parties!
Your comment about Obama instituting martial law is ridiculous. On what grounds do you base this asinine assumption? Did you even read the article you’re responding to or you do you really have no sense of irony?
Glenn Beck is a true patriotic American, unlike certain anti-American, Communist, pro-Muslims.
